FUN spring Martingale or tag collar. This collar has Seatbelt grade webbing that is silky smooth against the neck. The cotton fabic is backed with a fusible webbing to give wearability and protection from fraying.
Martingales are the collar of choice for all sighthounds (Greyhounds, Podencos, Wolfhounds, Galgos) but are super comfortable and safe for all large breeds. My collars use a very strong webbing that has a silky feel against your sighthounds tender neck. Double and triple stitching assures this collar will last. Just remove the tags and toss in the washing machine on cold and air dry to clea stength and n.
Martingale collars are meant for walking.
They are not used for all day wearing
because your dog can get the large D
ring caught on a paw or environmental
protrusion and may cause chocking or injury.
For all day wear, use a buckle tag collar or a ShopMollyd buckle free collar.
How to insure a proper fit:
This collar can be adjusted bigger and smaller. Adjust the collar big enough to slip over your dog’s head.
Your martingale collar should fit comfortably around the neck. Place the collar right behind the ears and pull up on the D ring. Adjust the collar so that there are 2 fingers width between metal sliders. The sliders should never touch when you pull on the D ring. A collar that is too loose might slip over the ears and allow escape! Be sure to adjust it properly.A collar that is too tight can cause discomfort for your dog.
How to care for your ShopMollyd Collar
Remove any added decorations. Wash your collar by hand in warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Or place in a net bag and wash in the washing machine on the cold setting. Hang collars to dry.
Important! With proper care your collar should last a long time. However, always check the collar for any wear or damage before each use. Owners are responsible for making sure the collar remains in good working condition before each use.
To choose your dog's size:
For sighthounds: Measure the smallest part of the neck just behind the ears. This will be the low end of the size you choose. For example, if your dog measures 16" behind the ears you will want to choose a size 16-18".
For other breeds: Measure the largest part of the head (usually around the forehead). Choose a size that will allow you to slip the collar over this part of the head.
Please measure carefully! If you measure incorrectly and your collar doesn't fit, you can return it in the same condition and I will replace it, but only if I still have that fabric left! (You will have to pay another shipping fee)
